Our story
Foodrx Ventures began with a simple observation: many small and mid-sized Australian food businesses were developing genuinely good products, but lacked affordable access to the food science and nutrition expertise needed to take them further. Formulating a new product, verifying a nutrition information panel, or substantiating a health claim should not require a full-time in-house science team.
From our base in Melbourne VIC, we set out to fill that gap. We work with manufacturers, startups, cafes, foodservice operators and established brands across Australia, providing practical support across product development, nutrition analysis, labelling compliance and regulatory navigation under the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code.
Today, our approach remains the same as it was on day one: listen carefully to the client, apply rigorous science, and deliver advice that is clear, actionable and honest about what the evidence does and does not support.
